With our fingers well and truly crossed that the good weather continues, July’s Members offer is one to help quench your thirst!!  Throughout the month, members can purchase a Jug of either Sangria or Pimms for only £9.95 (as opposed to £12.95 usually!)

The baby boom @ Bar 44 has reached it’s conclusion!  Tom’s wife Rachel gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy, George, on June the 5th.  Mum and baby doing really well, Tom a bit grumpier than usual due to lack of sleep!!

Just in case some of our customers may not know, there is free wifi now available in the Bar!!  Just ask a member of staff for the key code and you can surf away for no charge!

We are pleased to announce that our new seasonal Tapas Menu is being launched from 12 noon Friday 7th May.

We hope that all our customers will enjoy some of the changes we have made (click on the menus option to have a look!).  We have tried to keep as many of our favourite dishes on the menu while adding some new, more seasonal, options for the warmer months of the year (hopefully!).

Congratulations to Owen and Jo who (finally!!) welcomed their beautiful baby daughter Ava Rose into the world last Friday night.  Weighing in at a whopping 8lb 8oz, Owen has been like a Cheshire cat ever since – the only blip was when he found out how much nappies cost and how much Ava goes through!!

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:  Cleaner, experienced Cocktail Bar Person, and Chefs – all levels.

We are pleased to announce that our Head Chef, Tim has become a father for the second time!  Tim’s wife Gemma gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl, Hannah Louise, on March 29th.   Weighing in at 8lbs 3oz, we are all relieved that she has inherited Gemma’s good looks!!

Next up is Owen, whose wife Jo is currently 7 days overdue at the time of going to press! Similarly, everyone is hoping that Owen’s first baby will look more like Jo – whether it is a boy or girl!!!

News hot off the press: 

Justin “Lloyd Daniels” Davies, our premier cocktail Barman @ Bar 44 has just turned up for work with a new haircut!  Unbelievably, he has managed the impossible and now has more that FIVE shades of Blond lowlights in his “Do” !  We would love to know if any of our customers can beat this outstanding achievement in hair styling!

The next couple of months should see some very tired boys in Bar 44!  Owners Owen and Tom and the Head Chef Tim are all a little twitchy as their respective wives are all expecting little bundles of joy!

Tim and Tom are due to celebrate the birth of their second babies in March and June, while Owen is currently experiencing the joys of “parent-craft” and “NCT” training before the arrival of his first baby in April!

Anyone who knows Owen will know his obsession with German Tennis Players (he used to be a bit of a dab-hand at tennis!) and Jo, his wife has asked for some help with prospective baby names as all he can come up with is “Steffi” or “Boris”!  So any suggestions will be gratefully accepted (as will any spare nappies!).
