BAR 44 “MOVEMBER” PARTY

The man... the legend (after a few pints!)

On the last Sunday in November, Bar 44 held it’s annual “movember” charity fancy dress party. Over the course of the month, all the male members of staff grew the most elaborate moustaches or “mo’s” in order to raise money and awareness for the Movember prostate awareness charity. Customers were able to donate throughout the month, the staff gave a proportion of their tips to the charity and 50p from each movember cocktail sold also went to this worthwhile cause. A raffle was held on the night and a grand total of £584.25 was raised in total.

Tom and Owen would like to thank all the customers who supported us in this fundraiser and all the bar 44 staff who were instrumental in promoting the cause!

As with all competitions there were winners and losers on the final judging night!

Best Mo in class was once again won by the hairiest man in Cowbridge – Owen Morgan (who retains the prestigious Movember cup!

Best dressed winner was Danielle Apsee – a more beautiful 6ft4″ hirsute cross-dresser will surely never be seen! (Can’t believe Tom “pimp-daddy” Morgan didn’t pick this one up!)

Lamest excuse for a Mo was a closely-fought battle with “lynda” and “Justina” both lacking any real facial hair, but they were pipped at the post by “Christina” Averis who received a fake moustache to use as a template for next year!
